Student of the Month
The Student of the Month is selected from the 8th Grade class.
This activity is sponsored by the city of Fairview Heights and the Fairview Heights Rotary Club.
The criterion used to select the student of the month includes scholarship, leadership, courage, and service. Names placed on the ballot are determined by teacher nominations. Each member of the faculty votes, giving a value of one to five points for each characteristic with five being the highest. In addition, a weighted factor for teacher familiarity is placed on the ballots for teachers in grades five through eight.|

Clare Munie
Clare is the President of the Student Council, a lector and server, a member of the soccer and volleyball team, a tireless volunteer who helps whenever needed, has written an article for the parent newsletter, and is a very good student. One of our faculty members points out that, "Clare always has a smile on her face."

Shelby Biermann
Shelby is known by our faculty as a very dedicated and conscientious young lady.
She participates on the volleyball team and the yearbook class in addition to her many academic efforts at
HT. She loves the outdoors and has been involved in numerous service opportunities…including “Salute
to the Arts."
