Parent Meeting: RescheduledThe Parent Meeting is rescheduled for Wednesday October 22 at 7 pm in the cafeteria. Topics will include: meet the principal, test score results from 07-08, art-library comments, volunteer sign up, a presentation by Althoff High School, and some other items. Baby-sitting will be provided.
Liturgical Excellence
Soccer Update: Grades 7/ 8The Grade 7/ 8 soccer team took 3rd place. They held Immaculate Conception (Columbia) scoreless during regulation play and 2 overtimes. The game went to a shootout and the team persevered and won 3-2. Two players were missing and Holy Trinity had only 2 subs. The players showed a lot of heart and never gave up even though they were exhausted.

Field Trip: ReportOn Friday, September 26, the 7th and 8th grade classes went to our state’s capitol, Springfield Illinois . While we were there, we visited the capitol building, Lincoln ’s museum, Lincoln ’s home, and New Salem Park where we learned about life in the Civil War era. We had lots of fun, and we learned a lot about our state. (Reporter: Clare Munie) Note: Thanks to Mrs. Stankey, Mrs. Bottcher, and the many parents who helped to coordinate the trip! Thanks also to those who supported the bake sale that helped to fund the trip!
Schnucks… “Makes it Easy”We give thanks to our school families and parishioners for participating in the Schnucks “scrip program.” Holy Trinity Catholic School receives a percentage of every sale. It is quick and easy to get a membership card and join in this very quick and easy way to support the school. Please call the office (628-7395 ) and we will deliver information to you in the Wednesday folder or via mail.
Box Top Contest: Current ProgressWOW!! The results from this week’s collection are fabulous. The leader for the lower grade is now Mrs. Klucker’s 2nd grade with 981 labels submitted. For the upper grades it’s now Mrs. Botcher’s 5th grade with 736 labels. The contest continues until October 16th. Mrs. Phyllis Schneider is coordinating this effort!
